Act III. Late at night, Konstanze and Belmonte make for the harbour. When Pedrillo tries to rescue Blonde, Osmin (Tobias Kehrer) suddenly discovers them. Guards drag Belmonte and Konstanze before him and Osmin gloats in bloodthirsty triumph. Conducted by Robin Ticciati and directed by David McVicar.

Boris Godunov (Guido Jentjens) has eliminated his rival, Tsarevich Dmitri, to gain power. Five years later, a usurper poses as the legal pretender to the throne and the people discover Boris's crimes. In this scene of madness - one of the most famous in the operatic repertoire - Godunov believes he sees Dmitri's ghost, begs God's forgiveness and collapses.

Prologue: After being crowned Tsar of Russia, Boris Godunov (Martin Tsonev) offers a sincere prayer to the former tsars to ask for wisdom and good judgement as he begins his reign. Conducted by Konstantin Chudovsky and directed by Plamen Kartaloff.

Act 1 Hunding’s Hut. Ordering Sieglinde (Sarah Marie Kramer) to prepare food, Hunding (Brindley Sherratt) questions a visitor, who he has just discovered to be Siegmund (Peter Wedd) a sworn enemy. Hunding will respect the laws of hospitality, but in the morning, his guest, who is his foe, must be prepared to defend himself in the working out of their blood feud.

Act IV. Colline (Andrea Concetti) decides to pawn his old coat to buy medicine for Mimì. He is sad to say goodbye to it, as it has been his trusty companion through thick and thin. Conducted by Carlo Rizzi and directed by Sax Nicosia.

Act II. At the village pub, Jeník (Brenden Gunnell) and Kecal (Joshua Bloom) engage in a bout of jovial arguing on the respective merits of money, love and beer. Conducted by Jac van Steen and directed by Paul Curran.

Bass Evgeny Stavinsky sings Silva's aria ‘Infelice! E tuo credevi’ from Verdi's opera Ernani at Teatro dell'Opera di Roma.

Attila (Orlin Anastasov) is terrified by a nightmare in which a figure in white barred his entry to Rome, saying ‘To be the scourge of mankind is your only task; turn back! The road is closed. This city belongs to God’. Attila fights his superstitious fear of the dream by rallying his men to advance on Rome.

In this final scene from Royal Opera House’s Don Giovanni, Leporello (Ildebrando D'Arcangelo) and the Commendatore (Wiliard W. White) try to persuade the Don (Mariusz Kwiecień) to repent for his sins or else spend eternity in hell.
